Darrell Jordan

Darrell Jordan (Lee Gar Lin), started in martial arts in 1967, first with boxing, then Shoto-kan Karate in 1968 -1972.

He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was subsequently shipped overseas to various countries in South East Asia as an Infantryman. One posting was in Okinawa, where he studied Isshin-Ryu. Later he was posted in the Philippines and studied Shorin Ryu.

In 1975 Darrell moved back to NYC, and joined a Moy Yat school. Darrell was accepted as a Disciple of Moy Yat in 1985.

Darrell also studied Shuia Chiao and Ch'ang Tai Chi with his good friend Rocky Byars. Rocky is the Vice President of the United States Shuai Chiao Assn. Shuia Chiao specializes in fast hard takedowns. Darrell has been teaching Ch'ang Tai Chi and Shuia Chiao as a seperate class.

In 1989 Darrell moved to Orlando and opened his third Ving Tsun School.

Darrell has been involved in the Chinese Martial Arts community in Florida, as a Judge and Referee in numerous International and State Championship Chinese Tournaments. Darrell is a Member of the Ving Tsun Athletic Association as well as an International Board Member and Director of Ving Tsun Kung Fu for the "United States Martial Arts Assn."

Darrell is also a feelance author for Kung Fu Qiqung and the Journal of Chinese Martial Arts. He has interviewed many of the Great Grandmasters of Ving Tsun as well as the 2nd generation students.
